A truly fantastic selection of hot and cold coffee recipes for the more adventurous coffee drinker.

Caffe Mocha - Latte plus chocolate.

Add a sachet of drinking chocolate to a cup. Froth milk into the cup and make a paste with the chocolate powder and fill 3/5th of full. Dispense espresso into cup. If required top of with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate dust.

Caffe Ristretto - An extra short, extra strong espresso

Use an espresso blend, brew into a small espresso cup. Normal extraction time is +/- 25 seconds and the volume is about 1/2oz. Should have a good crema on the surface, which will support sugar granules before they settle on the bottom of the cup.

Latte Machiato - Layered latte - for the showmen out to impress!

Fill latte glass 2/3 with foamed milk. Allow to settle. Dispense 2 x espresso shots into a small jug. Then pour slowly downside of latte glass. Espresso should sit in between hot milk and milk foam.

Spiced Orange Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon fresh, grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 5 whole cloves
  • Regular amount of one of our Haute Culture coffees

Preparation:

Add the above ingredients together and brew as normal. Place a slice of orange at the bottom or your cup. Pour in coffee and add sugar and cream to taste. Top with whipping cream and sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg and cinnamon if so desired. Our hand made Crystallised Orange Chocolates will beautifully accompany this lovely drink.

Mint Cocoa Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce of chocolate mint liquor
  • Dash of shaved chocolate
  • Whipping cream (optional)
  • Regular amount of one of our Haute Culture coffees

Preparation:

Brew your the coffee, add the 1 ounce of liquor into your cup. Add some whipping cream if desired and sprinkle with shaved chocolate.

Coffee Milkshakes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint of coffee ice cream
  • 2 teaspoons finely ground coffee
  • 1/2 cup light rum (optional)
  • 4 to 6 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • espresso or strong black coffee

Preparation:

Spoon coffee ice cream into blender. Add rum and finely ground coffee. Blend on high until creamy smooth. Pour into tall glasses, adding a scoop of the vanilla ice cream to each glass. Sprinkle lightly with instant coffee powder.

Nogged Coffee

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coffee
  • 1 egg yoke
  • 1/2 cup of cream
  • Dash of nutmeg

Preparation:

Beat the sugar and egg yoke together. Place cream in a saucepan and heat over low setting, do not burn. Wisk the egg mixture into the warmed cream, heat until hot. Add coffee to mugs and top with the cream mixture. Garnish the coffee with nutmeg.

Frosty Mochas

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
  • 1 pint of vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 6 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup prepared cold coffee

Preparation:

Blend hot coffee and chocolate syrup in blender. Blend until smooth. Cool the mixture to room temperature. Pour the mixture into a medium bowl. Add the softened ice cream and cold coffee. With a rotary beater, beat until smooth. Spoon into tall glasses and serve immediately.

Iced Coffee

The perfect coffee for chilling out. (Makes One Cup)

Ingredients:

Preparation:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until the ice is crushed. Serve in a tall glass.

Lavender Shakerato or Iced Café Provencal

The perfect coffee for those hot summer afternoons.

Ingredients:

  • double espresso
  • squeeze of honey to taste
  • sprig of fresh lavender
  • ice
  • vodka (optional)

Using our usual espresso maker or your Nespresso machine, brew an espresso and pour into a cocktail shaker with the other ingredients and plenty of ice. Shake well and strain into a martini glass.
