Le Cafe Information
The Chauvea Le Café range is blended and roasted in Lyon, imported exclusively from the French gastronomy capital by LeCafeShop. Make no mistake, this is the genuine article, 'roasted in France by French coffee lovers for the French palet'.
Chauvea coffee roasters are based near Lyon in France, the company was created in 1924 by Mr Aristide Chauve. In 1950, the company was bought by the Mermet family and is now run and managed by our friend Yves-Michel.
The company imports its coffee directly from farms from Latin America and Africa with whom they have been working directly for decades to provide their clients with the best coffees and blends. Chauvea imports 400 tonnes of coffee per annum, that’s the equivalent of 50 millions cups of coffee per year!
Our best selling Le Cafe blend is the 100% Arabica Menelick blend which is available in beans or ground for filter and cafetiere.
